Andersonsabroad.com has been upgraded..
Well we seem to have successfully updated to WordPress 4.0 today.. Â No issues that I can see. Â So that’s good.
Let’s see, what else…
I got a new toilet seat and lid for the aft head so we can safely sit on the throne without falling off.  I also picked up a new cockpit shower spigot since the old one was leaking, and a new coiled hose for the wash down pump because the existing hose we have kinks in about 50 places and is hardly usable.
Upcoming projects include drilling out the old magnet on the windlass gypsy and epoxying a new magnet in there. Â The old magnet has rusted away so the chain counter counts exactly zero chain. Â We will also be hauling out in December most likely to get some keel and bottom work done that was noted during the survey.
Last weekend we did a nice little short trip to Andrews Bay @ Seward Park in Lake Washington. Â All in all pretty fun, including a stop at Coulon Park in Renton to get fish and chips from Ivars and milk shakes from Kidd Valley. Â Now we are planning for a 3 night trip to Blake Island and Tillicum Village in October. Â Normally you’d take an Argosy cruise over but we’ll be taking our own boat and staying at the State Park marina.
