Update from the sea 3, We found hippies..

Waking up today was a challenge.  The sick ones, myself and Dawn, felt like crap.  Today was a beautiful day, nothing like the rain we had yesterday.

Last minute decision meant we didn’t go to Rosario, instead we checked in with Canada customs at Bedwell Harbor on South Pender Island, the headed further north to Ganges Harbor on Saltspring Island.  Saltspring is basically a hippie colony and it shows.  Ganges is nice, has several good restaurants, a grocery store and a bunch of shops.   Kinds reminds me of the Kirkland waterfront but with hippies.

We had dinner at a restaurant on the wharf and it was excellent–ribs, halibut, prawns, etc.  We finally got our ice and some meds that may help. We are tied to the dock at Ganges Marina tonight and we will probably stay here through tomorrow night as well. There is a cool park, some art walks, and farmers markets here.

Hopefully we’ll get to see some cool stuff on this island tomorrow…
